MAN-TLE SHIRT SPS1 Mud Dyeing
Description
MAN-TLE Mud Dyeing
MAN-TLE, an Australian brand, uses Japanese fabrics for most of its clothing. Their standard line of bags, shirts, caps, and other items are available in off-white, and beautifully and boldly dyed by Kanai Kogei of Amami Oshima, using the power of soil and the wheel plum tree to create the colors of the earth we live on. MAN-TLE's selection of wonderful Japanese fabrics and the 1,300-year-old Amami Oshima dyeing techniques create these exquisitely crafted items.
Wearing mud-dyed clothing, a unique dyeing technique in the world, will give you an opportunity to reflect on our human senses as we coexist with nature.

Lars Harry and Aida Kim founded the brand in 2015.
Based in Australia, they create products with a unique discerning eye.
MAN-TLE is a line of clothing made from a variety of materials and designed to be enjoyed for a long time.
I believe that the phrase "use it for a long time" requires the user to be prepared to enjoy changes.
Changes that occur over time are inevitable in all things.
I feel like MAN-TLE clothing has room to be enjoyed as it ages.

Material: This product has been hand-dyed by master-craftsman Yukihito Kanai of Amami Oshima based mud-dying company Kanai Kougei. Working to both preserve the craft and find expression within it, Kanai san uses traditional dorozome and other traditional wood-derived collaborative techniques that have been passed down in Amami since ancient times. This project between MAN-TLE and Kanai Kougei was conceived by Kyoto based artisan Shinji Sekizuka for his store Iwakura AA. This is a loose fitting, slightly long, straight-hem button-up shirt. Slot buttons threaded onto seatbelt tape.
