Designer Tenchi Yoshimoto was born in Elk Valley, a mountainous region in Northern California, to parents who were musicians. He spent his childhood in an environment where everything had to be made by hand, surrounded by nature with no electricity or running water.
He then moved to Japan and began making clothes on his own after graduating from high school. After gaining experience working for domestic and international brands and pattern offices, he established the menswear label Amachi in 2017, setting up an atelier in the foothills of Nagano Prefecture.

*Regarding sun protection and color fastening treatments, we limit them to what is possible with natural materials, as we believe that natural dyeing is an expression of our brand.
