amachi. Covered Jacket

This deep outerwear has a hood that completely covers your head. It has strings around the face and on the back of the neck, making it difficult for the hood to slip off and ensuring complete coverage.
The herringbone patterned fabric is loosely woven from natural-colored wool yarn. The loose weave creates a soft, fluffy feel. While three-dimensional parts such as the armholes and hood are often made up of curves, these are joined together with angular lines, giving the design a unique character. With pockets on both sides of the front as well as on the inside, the jacket also offers subtle functionality that makes it perfect for everyday use.

Designer Tenchi Yoshimoto was born in Elk Valley, a mountainous region in Northern California, to parents who were musicians. He spent his childhood in an environment where everything had to be made by hand, surrounded by nature with no electricity or running water.
He then moved to Japan and, after graduating from high school, began making clothes on his own. After gaining experience working for domestic and international brands and pattern offices, he established the menswear label Amachi in 2017, setting up an atelier in the foothills of Nagano Prefecture.
