The tabi socks proposed by Sekizuka are made with carefully selected materials and tailoring, as beautiful accessories that complement footwear.
Taking advantage of the unique properties of recycled bamboo fiber and hemp, we have created a pair of shoes that will keep your feet comfortable no matter the season or location.

This fabric is made from bamboo linen woven in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture.
By using recycled bamboo fibers for the warp and hemp for the weft, the fabric has excellent moisture absorption and release properties, and is less likely to stick to the skin or become stuffy. While retaining the luster and natural wrinkles characteristic of hemp, the high density weave gives it a subdued and elegant look without being too rough.
The smooth feel of bamboo keeps your feet light and airy even when you are spending long periods of time indoors.

The natural colours of these tabi socks blend in naturally with footwear and outfits, and they are perfect for summer kimonos, single-layer kimonos, and yukatas, as well as for spending time indoors or wearing more relaxed clothing.

*Due to the characteristics of the material, washing with water will cause shrinkage of approximately 5 mm.

We recommend hand washing.
First, gently remove dust and dirt with a brush, then wash gently with a mild detergent, pressing gently.
After rinsing thoroughly, squeeze the product between your hands to remove excess water. Do not squeeze too hard as this may cause the product to lose its shape. By squeezing the product between towels, you can remove excess water without straining the product.
Carefully smooth out any wrinkles on the upper and sole, hang them on clothespins while maintaining their shape, and dry them in the shade, avoiding direct sunlight. By smoothing out any wrinkles while drying, the beautiful finish will be maintained and there will be no need to iron them later.

*Please avoid using bleach and tumble drying.
*If using a washing machine, place in a net and wash on a weak water flow (such as the hand wash cycle).
*If you use an iron, place a pressing cloth on the garment and iron it at a low temperature to remove wrinkles. If you iron it while it is still slightly damp before it is completely dry, the wrinkles will be easier to remove.
