NOVESTA MARATHON CLASSIC
Description
Partizánske is a town in the former Czech Republic and Slovakia.
In 1939, NOVESTA was quietly founded in the small town's historic industrial district, BATA Industrial Park.
This shoe factory, specializing in rubber and canvas products, has consistently produced purely Slovakian footwear since its founding, including military, work, rubber boots, and running shoes, through the historical changes of World War II, the post-war Cold War, the socialist era, and the division of the country.
In 1992, one year before the division of Czechoslovakia, the factory, which had become renowned as one of Europe's leading factories in the half century since its founding, launched the all-Slovakian sneaker brand, NOVESTA. Since then, NOVESTA has continued to grow as an original brand while also promoting various collaborative projects with brands from around the world.
NOVESTA combines European delicacy with the rustic textures of Eastern Europe.
This model was added to the NOVESTA lineup in 2013. It is a reproduction of a classic marathon shoe from the early 1950s. It is based on the model originally used as a marathon shoe for Olympic runners in 1988.
